Program Overview
Program Operator: EGT Networks, Inc.
Program Type: Hybrid Workforce Development (Remote/Virtual/Onsite)
Duration: 16 Weeks (Restarts every 4 months)
Commitment: 20-40 Hours per week
Cost: Tuition Free (Funded via Grants/Donations)
Objective: To bridge the gap between theoretical study and real-world application through live client projects.
1Month 1: Onboarding
Weeks 1-2: Orientation & Tool Stack
- • EGT Ecosystem: Deep dive into Core Services (IT Support, Cyber Security, Cloud, Structured Cabling and more)
- • Tool Setup: Configuration of PSA (Ticketing), RMM (Remote Monitoring), and communication channels
- • Security: Data privacy and client confidentiality protocols
Weeks 3-4: Technical Baseline
- • Virtual Labs: Simulated scenarios (Password Resets, Network Diagnostics, troubleshoot device issues)
- • Automation: Introduction to internal AI tools and business process optimization
- • Team Support: Assist the EGT team with administrative and promotional tasks
2Month 2: Shadowing
Observation Phase
- • Virtual Shadowing: Watch seasoned techs resolve live Help Desk tickets via screen share
- • Onsite Shadowing: Accompany engineers on field visits (Structured Cabling, Office Networking, System Upgrades, Camera Installs) where location permits
Skill Acquisition
- • Documentation: Best practices for ticket notes and technical writing
- • Cert Prep: Study blocks for CompTIA A+ or Google IT Support certifications
3Month 3: Active Work
Live Client Projects (Supervised)
- • IT Support Track: Handling Level 1 tickets (Printer issues, Computer Repairs, User Access)
- • AI & Dev Track: Optimizing automation scripts and user interfaces
- • Marketing Track: Executing AI-driven content campaigns for non-profit and for-profit clients
- • Team Support: Assist the EGT team with administrative and promotional tasks
